The Here story

A mindful case study

In November 2014, at Meaning, three groups of people came together in a serendipitous meeting of minds. One was Zoe Nicholson, the co-founder of Here (formerly BICS) – a Brighton-based social enterprise delivering & designing healthcare services. Another was Nicole Bradfield, MD of Neo – a creative agency striving to put social purpose at the heart of brands. Also present were Joel and Michelle Levey, the leading mindfulness teachers who wowed us all as part of that year’s speaker programme.

This meeting led to a journey – a journey that has helped Here find a meaningful and powerful expression of collective purpose. And has enabled them to become a truly mindful organisation.

At Meaning 2016 they will share with you a rich, experiential session combining their story with the mindfulness techniques that allowed it to unfold.

During the session you will:

  • Get a taste of the process and practices that enabled Here to develop a mindful culture across an organisation of 400+ colleagues.
  • Gain insight into the value of shared mindfulness – both personal and organisational.
  • Experience how these practices can develop capacities to listen more deeply and enable wise decisions.
  • Be inspired by the potential to nurture organisational culture using truly integral methods and approaches.
